How do I check my fafsa for UCA?
Our official means of communication is through the student’s UCA email account. Students should check their email account regularly for notices from the Office of Student Financial Aid. The student should also check the status of their financial aid by accessing the self-service tab in myUCA.
Does financial aid give you money back?
If your financial aid award exceeds the amount you owe the school for tuition and other expenses at the time of disbursement, you will receive a financial aid refund. Each school has its own method and schedule for issuing students’ refunds (disbursement).
Can you use fafsa money to buy a car?
You cannot use student loans to buy a car. You also can’t pay for the purchase of a car with financial aid funds. In particular, a qualified education loan is used solely to pay for qualified higher education expenses, which are limited to the cost of attendance as determined by the college or university.

What happens if you have leftover financial aid money?
If there is money left over, the school will pay it to you. In some cases, with your permission, the school may give the leftover money to your child. If you take out a loan as a student or parent, your school (or your child’s school) will notify you in writing each time they give you any part of your loan money.
