How many Kagrumez gems do I need?
Only four gems are ever needed, so it is not necessary to do the main quest in order to clear this ruin.

Where can I find Kagrumez gems?
Kagrumez Resonance Gems can be found in the following locations:
- One can be purchased from Revus Sarvani (at an unmarked location north-west of Tel Mithryn).
- One can be found in the Nchardak Aqueduct.
- Inside Kagrumez on a Reaver (2)
- Inside Fahlbtharz.
How do you start the Kagrumez gauntlet?
To complete the Gauntlet, the Dragonborn must recover four of the five Kagrumez Resonance Gems on Solstheim in order to sequentially open the doorways to the three sections of Kagrumez. Two of the resonance gems are found within Kagrumez itself on the body of the leader of a group of reavers in the first chamber.
How do I open the door to Nchardak?
Nchardak Reading Room[edit] There is a button on a pedestal near one side of the room, but it will initially not do anything. Opposite the entry door, another control pedestal opens a door that leads to a lift down to the Nchardak Great Chamber. Neloth will unlock this door with his cube.

What item is needed for Nchardak?
Nchardak Aqueduct A control cube is needed to unlock the door. This leads to the aqueduct. The Kagrumez Resonance Gem is inside a room with no direct entrance to the east side of the aqueduct. It is possible to get inside by first going to the room on the eastern most side where the Control Pedestal is.

Arrange the resonance gems as shown in the above screenshot. You will be once again locked in a cage (this time a bigger one) and the room will be filled with flames and an army of machines. In order to break free, you need to defeat all the enemies – only then the trap will turn off and you will be able to move on.
Where is the elevator to the kagrumez ruin?
The elevator into the ruin is located in a large square shaped pit. The purpose of this ruin seems to be for the Kagrumez Trials, as there are spectator chairs in a balcony, which are accessible once you complete the third trial.
