How much overhang should a coping stone have?
When selecting your coping please allow 25-35mm overhang on each side for the drip channels. Copings are supplied throated.

How do you stick down coping stones?
Re: Re-fixing Coping Stones Stick them on with expanding foam, it works very well, dampen the stone & the mortar then put a line of foam a couple of inches in from the sides then immediately put the stone back in place, they won’t budge after the foam has set. Cheers.
Should coping stones be mechanically fixed?

A flexible dpc will be required below a Coping unit to prevent the downward transfer of moisture into the wall. This dpc should be bedded on both sides, so that it is sandwiched in the joint, and projecting 5mm beyond each face of the wall below.
Can you drill into coping stone?
Each coping stone must be drilled to accommodate the 6mm pins. We recommend the use of a 7mm masonry drill for this stage of the process. With the holes drilled and the coping stone in place on the wall mark out where the holes need to be drilled on the wall for securing the brackets.
