MERS/Goodwill provides assistance with identification of the apartment or house, referral to other neighborhood services, and long-term supports. Offered through the Aftergut Center 314-241-3464.
Is Goodwill accepting donations in Missouri?
Goodwill accepts donations of most household items including, but not limited to, clothing, linens, shoes, accessories, home goods, kitchen wares, etc, Please note . . . we are NOT accepting furniture at this time!

Does Goodwill sell donated clothes?
If Goodwill can’t sell clothing donations in-store, on its online thrift store or at a Goodwill outlet, the clothes are often sold to a textile recycler or other salvage vendor. These recyclers use the unsold clothing in various ways.
Does Goodwill take fish tanks?
These items may only be donated directly to one of our stores: Fish tanks. Snow skis and boots. Roller blades and roller skates.

Can I donate to Goodwill right now? As with retail locations, almost every Goodwill donation center that closed during state-issued closures have now re-opened. However, we recommend checking with your local Goodwill to verify any changes to hours or how local Goodwills ask to receive donations of used goods.

Linens and Textiles A very common question is, “Does Goodwill take pillows?” The answer is yes, and no. We welcome decorative and throw pillows, but not pillows used for sleeping. Beyond that specific request, we welcome clean and stain-free linen and textiles including: Bedspreads, blankets, sheets, and towels.
