Are there Comets in 2021?
The discovery was officially announced August 1, and is named comet C/2021 O3 (PANSTARRS). At last check, the non-threatening object is about four times as far from the Earth as the Sun. It will become brighter and could be visible to the naked eye in late April or early May 2022.
What time is best for comet viewing?
If you want to spot the comet, the best time to go stargazing is about an hour after sunset. Depending on where you live, this will probably be around 10 pm. The comet will be visible for about an hour or so before it drops below the horizon.
